Assistant Pastor
Kimberly Montgomery Young

My Story

Elder Kimberly Montgomery Young was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph L. Montgomery and Eddie Sue Montgomery.  She is the youngest of five children of which one is a twin sister. Educated in the public-school system of Lancaster City, Evangelist Young graduated from John Piersol McCaskey High School in 1989 and went on to further her education at Millersville University, where she majored in Television Communication and Special Education.

Elder Young faithfully served at Ray’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for 38 years.  Presently, she serves under the leadership of Bishop Anthony W. Sease, Pastor of the New Covenant Community Church in York, Pennsylvania.  Upon coming to Christ, she received the commitment to divine destiny.  The Spirit of God called her to the ministry of Evangelism in 1986.  Elder Young was licensed by Bishop O.T. Jones, Jr. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ as an Evangelist/Missionary in September 2000.

The Lord has blessed her to be able to operate in many different areas of ministry and be successful.  Since a very early age music ministry has been one of her passions in the church.  She began singing on the youth choir and then progressed over the years to other things.  She has taught and directed choirs since the tender age of eight and has been effective in training choirs to reach their full potential.

Elder Young is currently employed at Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services Incorporated where she has been for the past 25 years.  Elder Young is married to Elder Michael E. Young and has two children Benjamin and Michelle and five grandchildren.

Elder Young’s motto is Psalm 118:24; “This is the day the Lord hath made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
